Joey Yung wins JSG's Best Female Singer again

19 Jan – Joey Yung recently became the first singer to have won Jade Solid Gold's Best Female Singer for the tenth time - a feat that was eternalised with a special award, Most Popular Singer for Ten Years award.

As reported on Singpao Daily, the singer, who nearly lost the award to Kay Tse whose fame and fortune has been on the rise in 2014, was emotional as she received the award at the 2014 Jade Solid Gold Music Awards, and thanked her family for the support and love.

She mentioned her mother's cancer battle again, saying that she is now more appreciative of her family and her health.

"When I was taking care of my family, my mother was really afraid of delaying my work, so this award is even more necessary as a comfort to her. I want to assure her that she has not affected my work at all," said Joey.

As to her special award, the singer said that she will continue to work hard to prove herself to everyone.
