Actor and professional wrestler John Cena caused quite a frenzy among BTS fans – widely known as ARMY – after dedicating an Instagram post to J-Hope last week.

How it started: In an Oct. 6 WeVerse post, J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, updated fans about his time and duties in the military, which consisted of helping and guiding young Koreans “in things such as their first steps and also their first starts in the military organization.”

Referencing John Cena: The 29-year-old BTS member quoted Cena before ending his post with "'I’m in the Army' – John Cena."

The quote is a reference to Cena’s 2018 video, where he confirmed in Korean that he is a part of the ARMY fan base but instead used the literal word “army” as in "military," saying, “Naneun kundae da” (“I’m in the army”).

His response: In response to the quote, Cena uploaded the same photo J-Hope used in the WeVerse post to Instagram on Saturday. The post has no description or any added context.

How fans reacted: Many fans went crazy over Cena’s latest post, with one Instagram user writing in the comment section, “Now I am like.. Wow!! So John Cena also gets WeVerse notification just like us.”
