John Travolta Celebrates Fourth of July with Kids at Yankees Game in New York City

The 70-year-old actor flew out to New York to watch the Yankees play the Cincinnati Reds on July 4 with his daughter Ella Bleu and son Benjamin

John Travolta and his family spent the Fourth of July watching America’s favorite pastime in New York City. 

On July 4, the 70-year-old actor posted a video recap of his trip to New York to watch the New York Yankees play the Cincinnati Reds on Instagram. At the beginning of the video, the Cash Out actor is seen on a plane where he says he's “on his way to see the Yankees play the Reds” and he has “all his friends with him.”

The video then transitions to a clip of Travolta sitting with his daughter Ella Bleu, 24, before panning out to the rest of the crowd enjoying the game as “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra plays in the background. 

While the Reds ended up beating the Yankees 8 - 4,  the Grease actor enjoyed the firework display at Yankee Stadium in the evening with Bleu and his 13-year-old son Benjamin.

“Happy 4th of July everyone,” Travolta captioned his festive video.

The post comes after the Saturday Night Fever actor shared a throwback photo on Instagram on June 22 from the day his family adopted their dog Peanut “on Oscar night” back in March 2022. The photo showed Travolta holding Peanut when she was just a puppy while he wore a burgundy suit.

"She’s brought the biggest joy to our family," he wrote in his caption.

Shortly before the Oscars in March 2022, Peanut — then named Mac and Cheese — made her first appearance on stage with Jamie Lee Curtis, who brought her out during a tribute to the late actress Betty White, who died in December 2021.

Curtis, 65, brought the puppy up on stage and said, “The greatest gift you could give Betty White is to open your heart and your home and adopt a rescue dog just like Mac and Cheese from Paw Works."

Shortly thereafter, Travolta revealed in an Instagram post that "Ben adopted this dog from last night's Oscar tribute to Betty White. Thank you @curtisleejamie & @pawworks."
