Join The 1st Women’s March Fundraiser in Singapore at Skyline
Women from over 50 States in America and 40 other global cities are planning a March. From Sydney to Atlanta and now, Singapore. Join 1 Million Participants stand up for freedom and democracy by RSVP-ing via the form below to attend this event.
The Women’s March in Washington has inspired nearly 300 other ‘sister marches’ to take place on the 21st of January. All 50 states and Puerto Rico are confirmed to have at least one march as well as 55 global cities on six continents, from Tokyo to Sydney, Nairobi to Paris to Bogotá.
While each person may have their own reasons for marching, the mission is to bring people together to take a stand on issues that deeply impact all of us. The marches will seek to reaffirm the core American values of freedom and democracy for all at a time.
When many fear that their voices will be lost, specifically related to women’s rights, immigrant rights, worker rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQIA rights, environmental rights, rights for all races, and religious freedom, The Women’s March stands to reassure them that their causes will be heard.
For those of us who are based in Singapore, you can take action by amplifying the message of safety, tolerance and inclusion thanks to 2 Americans living in Singapore, Neha Patel and Sheila Chanani. In coordination with Michaela Anchan of Woolf Works, the first women-only coworking space in all of South and Southeast Asia, these three women are hoping to cause a donation surge to three partners of the Women's March in particular: Planned Parenthood, ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Center. These charities were selected because they are either in danger of losing funding under the new Trump administration or they are leaders in their respective spaces for defending the rights of those most at risk of discrimination and prosecution.
Together, we have #currency: social, intellectual, moral, and economic -- so let's get spending. Skyline is extending $15 nett on beer, wine and housepours of which 50% goes to these charities.
