Julia Fox Joins Universal And Monkeypaw’s Psychological Horror Pic ‘Goat’

EXCLUSIVE: Julia Fox is set to star as the female lead alongside Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers in Monkeypaw’s Goat for Universal Pictures. Justin Tipping is directing.

The project, based on a Black List script by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, centers on a promising young athlete who is invited to train with a team’s retiring star. The film will be produced by Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, and Jamal Watson. Executive producers are David Kern and Kate Oh.

Executive Vice President of Production Development Sara Scott and Director of Development Tony Ducret will oversee the project for the Studio.

Best known for her New York Times best-selling book Down the Drain, Fox had her breakout role opposite Adam Sandler in the Safdie Brothers’ thriller Uncut Gems. She followed that up with Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Move and is reuniting with Soderbergh for his upcoming thriller Presence, which Neon acquired shortly after its Sundance Film Festival premiere. Fox is also hosting her own fashion competition series, OMG Fashun, premiering May 6 on E!.
