Julia Roberts thinks Dorit's “Pretty Woman”-inspired anniversary gift on “RHOBH” was 'very strange'

The Oscar-winner had 'blocked it out' until Andy Cohen asked her about P.K. Kemsley's cinematic surprise for his wife.

Julia Roberts has probably seen her share of homages to Pretty Woman, the 1990 rom com that made her a superstar. But even she didn't know what to make of P.K. Kemsley's anniversary surprise to his wife Dorit on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Roberts was on Watch What Happens Live when host Andy Cohen asked if she had caught that Housewives surprise walkin' down the street and if it's one that she would like to meet.

"I blocked it out till this moment," Roberts responds, visibly shaken. "It...it was very strange, wasn't it?"

Cohen agrees before the Oscar-winner continued, "I really did block it out till you just brought it up again," noting that Dorit didn't seem to really enjoy it that much.

After last season's break-in on RHBOH, Dorit is still recovering from the resulting PTSD, so P.K. tries to surprise her for their anniversary, which is already a bad idea. Dorit's pulled tighter than her high pony and immediately starts freaking out.

When she finally calms down, with the help of a rack of designer red gowns, Dorit has her full Pretty Woman fantasy, with P.K. pulling out a necklace, re-enacting one of the film's most famous scenes.

However, P.K. warns Dorit from the jump that the necklace is on loan, which is where Roberts thinks the whole shebang went left.

"You think the only thing that would've made it work is if the necklace was the gift. And before she even settled her eyeballs on it, he was like, 'It's going back, baby,'" the Leave the World Behind actress adds. "I didn't understand any of it."

What Roberts meant to say was by not making the necklace Dorit's gift, P.K. made a big mistake. Big. Huge. Of course, there's also the overarching theme of P.K. treating his wife like a sex worker on holiday, but 'A' for effort.
