Julian Edelman isn't done roasting Tom Brady.

While speaking to PEOPLE on behalf of his partnership with One-A-Day Multivitamins, Edelman recalls his former teammate's unique cheat meal.

"He used to love chicken wings once in a while," Edelman says. "We used to have the same team meals every night before the game because we would stay in hotels and usually we'd cater the same types of foods and there'd always be some sort of chicken wing."

"And Tom would always have one chicken wing for his guilty pleasure before we would huddle off to bed," Edelman shares.

When asked to confirm it was just one single chicken wing, Edelman laughs, "A single chicken wing."

The former wide receiver says Brady "really does" stick to his notoriously-strict diet, which consists of 80 percent vegetables and whole grains, and 20 percent lean meats and fish.

Edelman adds, "He does live by that diet. I'm not going to lie. He does practice what he preaches. We used to get in arguments all the time about it."

As for his own go-to cheat meal, Edelman says he's a "big burger guy" and he's got a list of spots in New York and Los Angeles to get his favorites.

"I live in L.A. so everyone's in this whole smash burger craze," says Edelman, adding that it's "pretty good." But the most "spectacular burger" in New York is found at 4 Charles in Manhattan's West Village, according to the former NFL star.

Edelman also enjoys Raul's in SoHo, where they offer a "different take" on the classic burger. "They have this peppercorn dipping sauce on a very flaky bun, almost like a croissant bun."

But most of the time, Edelman knows it's all about balance when it comes to his health, which is partly why he teamed up with One-A-Day multivitamin.

"I was so big into my nutrition during my professional career," says Edelman. "I had the nutritionist, I took all the supplements, took 14, 15 vitamins a day, and in the locker room I experienced watching guys do all these wellness fads."

"As I retired, I got sick of taking all these different supplements and One-A-Day was super easy to take," he adds. "So it was an easy slam dunk kind of partnership because it's something that I needed and it was something I believed in."
