PlayStation has revealed the next three games coming to PS Plus in July, and while the list isn’t too exciting, it does feature 2019's Borderlands 3 for both PS4 and PS5.

On June 26, PlayStation officially announced the next three monthly PS Plus games. These new games will be available starting on July 2. Here’s the full list:

  • Borderlands 3 - PS4, PS5

  • NHL 24 - PS4, PS5

  • Among Us - PS4, PS5

Remember, to access, download, and play these games you’ll need to be an active PS Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium tier subscriber. And if your subscription runs out in the future, you’ll no longer be able to play these games.

I know that among some Borderlands fans, the third main installment in the franchise is sometimes seen as a so-so entry due to some questionable plot points and its forgettable villains. However, I think the overall gameplay improvements in Borderlands 3 make it my favorite entry in the looter shooter series. The combat feels snappier and more responsive and movement feels less floaty and more modern, with the ability to slide and mantle. And soon PS Plus members will be able to experience these improvements at no additional cost.

For hockey fans, EA’s NHL 24 should offer an “ice” bit of puck-smacking action. Meanwhile, if you are one of the few people left on the planet who hasn’t already bought or got Among Us, here you go. I’ve still yet to play the social deduction game featuring cartoon astronauts and at this point, I’m not sure I’ll ever play it. I want to be different. Unique. Special.

For those who haven’t yet downloaded June’s free PS Plus games, you still have time. Sony says you have until July 1 to download SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, AEW Fight Forever, and Streets of Rage 4 to your library.
