Kamala Harris To Headline Hollywood-Centric Fundraiser For 2024 Reelection Campaign

With the strikes ended, political fundraising is expected to pick up in Hollywood over the coming weeks.

Plans are in the works for President Joe Biden to head to Los Angeles for a fundraiser by the end of the year, in what would be his first fundraising swing to the region since announcing his reelection bid.

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris will headline a Los Angeles event on Nov. 20, with a long list of co-hosts and co-chairs. They include Cliff Gilbert-Lurie and Leslie Lurie, Skip Brittenham and Heather Thomas, John Emerson and Kimberly Marteau Emerson, Sam Fischer and Leah Fischer, Reginald Hudlin and Chrisette Hudlin, Allan Mutchnik and Nicole Mutchnik, and Michael Rotenberg and Shannon Mabrey Rotenberg, per an invite.

At the reception, Harris is scheduled to be joined by her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

Tickets for the event start at $500 per person for young professionals and rising to $1,000 per person for the “supporter” level. Those who write or raise $10,000 will be listed as co-hosts, and will have access to the photo line. Co-chairs will be those who write or raise $25,000, also with a photo, per the invite.

The proceeds will go to the Biden Victory Fund, with money split between the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state committees.

Biden has avoided Los Angeles during the labor walkouts, but the campaign has still held fundraising events in recent months with figures such as First Lady Jill Biden.
