Kate Beckinsale Briefly Loses Pomeranian Myf as She Runs Away After Being Scared by Fourth of July Fireworks

"Oh Myf, you don't love fireworks, it turns out!" Beckinsale, who suffered a knee injury while looking for her pup, said in an Instagram Stories post

Kate Beckinsale had an eventful Fourth of July.

On Thursday, the actress, 50, revealed she'd spent part of the holiday searching for her beloved Pomeranian Myf, who temporarily ran away because of the fireworks.

Beckinsale shared a snap of the pup on Instagram, alongside the caption, "Myf has gone missing if anyone finds her in the Beverly Hills area please can you DM me thank you so much."

An hour later, she confirmed they'd found Myf, but the Underworld star suffered an injury in the process. "Jesus effing jeffing Christ we found her. @joe_rome out here saving everybody," she captioned a video on Instagram showing the pup wrapped in a pink blanket while her friend dabbed at her bloody knee with a paper towel.

“She’s back, ow, I really hurt my knee… Myf you f------ scared the s--- out of us. F------ July 4, Joe… Jesus Christ," she said.

Beckinsale then turned the camera to Myf, asking the dog, "What do you have to say for yourself?"

One fan wrote in the comments section, "Where did she go?" to which Beckinsale replied, "Ran away scared of fireworks."

She also mentioned the pup wasn't a fan of fireworks in an Instagram Stories post. "Myf, you're ok, oh Myf, you don't love fireworks, it turns out!" she said, before showing her followers her injuries again.

"I think when Clive was here Clive didn't give a s--- about fireworks, so Myf also didn't give a s---," Beckinsale added, referencing her beloved late cat, who died a year ago.

Beckinsale's latest posts come after she paid tribute to Clive on June 12 on Instagram, marking one year since his death.

The actress shared an array of hilarious clips taken with her cat through the years, alongside the caption, "Fly high my best angel on your one year anniversary. Oh my heart Clive I miss you. Not a soul like you. Love of my life 🤍"

Beckinsale revealed her heart was "absolutely and totally broken" as she announced Clive's death on Instagram in June 2023.

"Clive has died," she wrote. "I don't have it in me to make a montage or even look at pictures of him yet."

"Every single part of my house feels like he should be in it. If anyone is expecting to hear from me, you may not for a bit and I'm sorry," she added at the time, sharing a photo of her cuddling her late furry friend, who was wrapped in a pink blanket that had pigs on it.
