Kate Middleton Is Reportedly "Out and About With Her Family"
Kate Middleton has remained out of the public eye as she undergoes cancer treatment.
In fact, it's been over five months since she officially appeared at a royal engagement: attending church in Sandringham on Christmas day. Paparazzi have snapped two photos of her this year—one, in early March, shows Kate in the passenger seat of an car driven by her mom, Carole Middleton, and a second, in mid March, shows her in the backseat of a car with William. Plus, a video published by the Sun in March appears to show Kate shopping at a farm stand in Windsor. However, there haven't been any official engagements carried out by the Princess of Wales in public, and she likely won't make any appearances anytime soon.
However, Kate has reportedly been spotted in recent weeks. In a story in the Daily Mail, royal reporter Rebecca English writes, "The Mail understands that the princess has been seen out and about more with her family in recent weeks, which will be taken as a positive sign by many." There are no photographs featured in the Mail story, and it's unclear where Kate has reportedly been seen out and about, or who spotted Kate.
Notably, there have been no photographs or video of Kate since her cancer announcement video (watch above). In that video, Kate said, "We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment." Additionally, there have been no significant updates on the Princess's health since the initial news of her diagnosis. Last week, a senior royal aide said that Kate "will return to work when she has had the green light from doctors." What that "green light" looks like is as yet unclear, and Kensington Palace has not provided any specific timeline for Kate's return to royal duties.
