Kelly Clarkson Performs Stunning Cover of Shania Twain's 'You're Still the One' for Kellyoke

Clarkson has previously delivered renditions of Twain's "Any Man of Mine," "Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" and "No One Needs to Know"

Kelly Clarkson's done it again with her latest cover!

On Thursday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Grammy winner delivered a stunning cover performance of Shania Twain's 1998 single, "You're Still the One" — and it's hard to believe anyone's eyes were dry in the TV studio afterward.

Accompanied by her band Y'all, Clarkson sang a faithful rendition of the country song, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot Country Songs chart following its initial release on Twain's Come on Over album.

The "Miss Independent" singer has covered a few Twain songs on The Kelly Clarkson Show in the past, including "Any Man of Mine," "Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" and "No One Needs to Know."

One song Clarkson won't sing during the show's daily Kellyoke segment is Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory," as she revealed the track "almost killed me" during a recent interview with frontman Jon Bon Jovi.

"Not even cause I can't sing it. I just can't read, whatever," she said.

Clarkson explained, "I grew up on that song. I know that song but in my rehearsal I messed it up like a gazillion times."

"Not even cause I wasn't hitting the notes," she added. "I just couldn't read. I just kept saying the wrong words. It got so ridiculous I had to let it go like Elsa just for a minute and then I had someone come rescue me."

Earlier this month, The Kelly Clarkson Show earned a Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding daytime talk series, marking her eighth overall win at the awards show.

During her acceptance speech, Clarkson thanked NBC for relocating the show from Los Angeles to New York after season 4 — a move spurred by Clarkson, who sought a fresh start after finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The pair split in 2020.

“It's important to say that not everybody really thinks about what's going on behind the scenes," she said on stage. "The fact that NBC, a huge company, took time and listened when I said, ‘Hey, my life is not going super great. I don't know if I can live here anymore. I don't know if I can do this.'"

“They really wrapped their arms around us, and they helped us move … The move has been so great, not just for me and my family, but our whole show,” continued Clarkson, who shares two children — River Rose, 9, and Remington, 8 — with Blackstock. "It takes a lot of time and money and effort to do that — it is not unnoticed. I just want to say ‘Thank You’ for thinking of mental health as a product.”
