Kelly Clarkson snaps back at bad “Avengers: Endgame ”reviews: 'Not everything has to be “Shawshank Redemption”'

"Everybody's entitled to their opinion… but, you know, you're wrong."

Bad reviews of Avengers: Endgame? Kelly Clarkson hates those 3000.

In a hilarious video posted on her daytime talk show’s YouTube channel on Saturday, the singer reacted to a series of negative Letterboxd reviews of some of her all-time favorite films, including the 2019 superhero epic starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Hemsworth.

While she initially seemed calm and collected, Clarkson took offense the instant that Avengers: Endgame came up.

"Who gave this a bad review?" she cried before mocking critics: "'Ugh, it’s just these big epic Marvel things. These big epic superhero movies.'"

She continued, "Fans love them. Not everything has to be Shawshank Redemption. Whatever."

The “Stronger” singer had zero time for the first review she read, which referenced Martin Scorsese’s notorious complaint that Marvel films are like theme parks. “There’s nothing wrong with theme park rides,” Clarkson said. “People love theme parks!”

Another reviewer criticized the decision to have Johansson’s Endgame character, Natasha Romanoff, eat a peanut butter sandwich in one scene because they thought the movie's budget of more than $350 million could have afforded her a much better snack.

“I know what you’re talking about, and that’s when all of her friends freaking disappeared!" Clarkson declared. "They’re gone! Who cares what she’s eating?! Was she supposed to be dining on sushi while all of her friends were gone? Like, I don’t know!”

Clarkson went on to give her five-star review of the film. "The end of Endgame was so boss! They all came back! Doctor Strange is incredible. He was just like br, br, br, br  with the magic, and like everybody came through and was like, 'What's up, Thanos?'"

"It was really great," she concluded. "I loved it."

At the end of the clip, Clarkson flipped the tables and reviewed the reviews she’d just read. “My favorite films are my favorite films," she said. "I love ‘em… And everybody’s entitled to their opinion. I was being funny, but, you know, you’re wrong. For all you haters out there, I review your reviews one star — half a star! I just took half of it away.”
