Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos reunite with “All My Children” actor who played their baby

The young woman took over the role from her twin brother, who didn't have enough hair, she says.

Here's a surprise soap opera return we never expected.

On Monday, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos welcomed the young woman who portrayed their baby, Lorenzo, on soap opera All My Children, to the audience of Live With Kelly and Mark.

The couple, who are now cohosting the daytime talk show, first met in the 1990s while starring together on the long-running soap. Their characters, Hayley and Mateo, welcomed their son, Lorenzo, on an episode that aired in August 2001.

"We have talked about this in the past," Ripa teased. "Mark and I had a baby on All My Children, baby Enzo, and we've often wondered whatever happened to baby Enzo? Where is baby Enzo? and baby Enzo is in our audience today."

The camera then panned to a young woman brandishing a photo of Ripa on the soap holding a baby. "Yeah, I'm a girl, not the boy," the woman quipped. "I have a twin brother, at the time he didn't have enough hair, so I was Baby Enzo for you."

Ripa responded jokingly, "Hollywood is a cruel place."

The girl admitted that her brother is a "little jealous" of her claim to fame. Consuelos asked the young woman how her brother's hair was now, and she replied, "Oh, he has a lot of hair now. He's good now."

Ripa and Consuelos also share children in their real lives, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin. The young woman in the audience revealed that, at 23, she is only three days younger than Lola. "I guess on the set, my mom held Lola and you held me," she explained.

"It's so good to see you," Ripa told her, before the girl responded, ""I’m happy to be here, it’s good to reunite."

Ripa also inquired as to the girl's current profession and whether or not she was still acting. "No. I mean, this is my big break now, I guess," she joked. "I'm still on Long Island. I work in sports now."

Ripa and Consuelos have been cohosting the talk show since early 2023, following Ryan Seacrest's exit. But initially, they weren't so sure. "'No, this is insane. We can't do this,'" Consuelos remembered saying, while appearing on Ripa's podcast, Let's Talk Off Camera.
