Kelly Rowland has returned to the red carpet after she walked off the Today show set last week.

On Tuesday night, the Destiny's Child singer, 43, attended the Chicago screening of her new Netflix film Mea Culpa wearing an electric blue jumpsuit and matching faux fur jacket.

Rowland teamed her eye-catching attire with a pair of white statement earrings, wearing her bob cut in a sleek straight style. The musician posed with her co-star Trevante Rhodes at the star-studded event that was held at AMC River East Theater.

Rowland's appearance came after a behind-the-scenes mishap led to her sudden departure from the Today show on Thursday. Her exit resulted in Rita Ora stepping in to join Hoda Kotb as the fourth hour guest co-host at the last minute.

"Kelly walked out because she and her team didn't like her dressing room," a source told PEOPLE. "Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was."

Page Six was the first to report the news, noting that Rowland had been a guest on the morning show's 8 a.m. hour and was then slated to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager as guest co-host alongside Kotb.
