Kendrick Lamar Sets Rare Performance at 'Ken & Friends' Show in Los Angeles 6 Weeks After Drake Rap Beef

The show will take place on June 19 at the Kia Forum

Weeks after Kendrick Lamar and Drake's beef broke out online, the "Humble" rapper is getting ready to put on a rare performance onstage.

On June 19, the "Money Trees" rapper, 36, will take the stage for a one-night-only show put on by pgLang and Free Lunch called The Pop Out and the bill features "Ken and Friends."

The show will take place at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and doors open at 4 p.m..

General ticket sales begin on Friday, June 7, at 10 a.m. PT on Ticketmaster. Cash App Card customers will have access to tickets on June 6 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. PT.

The performance will mark Lamar's first time taking the stage since his back-and-forth with Drake, 37, broke out in March. The "Swimming Pools" rapper last performed at a Cash App party on Super Bowl weekend in February in Las Vegas.

The rap beef started when Lamar joined forces with Future and Metro Boomin for "Like That," the trio's latest No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. In the track, Lamar took aim at J. Cole and Drake, prompting quick responses from both of them.

On April 5, J. Cole was first to respond with "7 Minute Drill," which took direct aim at Lamar, specifically calling his 2022 album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers “tragic” and implying that Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly album was boring.

Two days later, however, the "Fire Squad" rapper apologized at Dreamville Festival in North Carolina and told the crowd that dissing Lamar so publicly “disrupts my f---ing peace,” and that it didn’t “sit right with my spirit.” He noted that he “downplayed” Lamar’s catalog and “his greatness."

“I felt so conflicted because I’m like, bro, I don’t really feel no way,” he said, according to video shot by fans in attendance.

While J. Cole saw himself out of the situation, Drake added fuel to the fire when his track "Push Ups" leaked on social media on April 13. He officially released it on April 19 and the Certified Lover Boy rapper can be heard calling Lamar "pipsqueak" and argues that he wears "size 7 mens" shoes.

After that, Lamar released his own 6-minute track "Euphoria," featuring several direct shots at Drake and followed with a few new angles on "6:16 in LA." On May 3, Drake responded with "Family Matters" and Lamar released "Meet the Grahams." Lamar then released "Not Like Us" on May 4 and Drake released "The Heart Part 6" on May 5.
