Kent: Children in hospital after tractor and bus collide in Meopham, with one patient airlifted to hospital

Children have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a tractor and a bus in Kent.

Kent Police said the collision happened shortly before 3.30pm on Wednesday, on the A227 South Street near Culverstone Green in Meopham.

The force said it attended the scene - close to the junction for Chapman's Hill - along with paramedics, an air ambulance and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

South East Coast Ambulance said it treated and took 12 patients to local hospitals. It added that some of the patients were children.

One patient was airlifted to Kings College Hospital in south London.

The incident is being investigated by Kent Police's Serious Collision Unit.

The force said it was seeking any dashcam and phone footage of the incident and appealed for any witnesses to get in contact.
