"It will forever be one of my favorite memories," Jonas told Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos of the 2007 moment.

As the poetry of the Jonas Brothers goes, they're "burning up for you, baby" — and legendary talk show host Regis Philbin left a lasting impression on one of the band's members when called out a literal increase in temperature caused by Kevin Jonas' summer scarf.

Jonas recalled the hilarious exchange from a vintage 2007 episode of Live during a Wednesday morning appearance on the current edition of the long-running talk show currently fronted by Philbin's former cohost, Kelly Ripa, and her husband, Mark Consuelos.

"What's going on with the bros?" Ripa asked Kevin and his brother, Franklin Jonas (who isn't an OG member of the band), as they sat for an interview about the new season of their ABC reality competition series Claim to Fame.

Kevin then reflected on the fact that his future wife was in the audience during the 17-year-old episode, which was broadcast from the Bahamas.

"We didn't know [each other]," Kevin said. "It's one of my favorite memories of all time, because I wore a summer scarf. Our fashion sense back then was good choices. Regis shamed me on TV about my scarf, but it will forever be one of my favorite memories."

The episode, which saw Philbin welcome the Jonas Brothers — also including Nick and Joe Jonas — to the show's Bahamas set for a chat about their budding popularity, before Philbin shifted focus to Kevin's attire.

"Kevin, you've got to be the only one in a perimeter of around 5,000 miles who's wearing a scarf today," Philbin quipped. Kevin responded, telling the host, "Actually, we've got a couple with sweaters around their necks, it's very flowy!"

Philbin co-hosted Live with Ripa until 2011, after having anchored the program since its debut in 1988. He later died in 2020 at the age of 88.
