Khloé Kardashian Says People Are 'Really Judgy' About Her Choice to Stop Dating but She Won't Be 'Celibate' Forever

Though she hasn't dated since her split from Tristan Thompson, Khloé said she has no interest in a new relationship and confirmed "the door's closed" on a reconciliation with her ex: "We all gotta grow up and move on"

Khloé Kardashian is not interested in getting back out on the dating scene.

During the June 6 episode of The Kardashians, Khloé was asked about her dating life by Scott Disick. After asking her if she had a boyfriend or had gone on a date recently, Khloé, 39, firmly told him, "I don't want to!"

She went on to cite her busy schedule and early wake-up calls with her two kids — daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 21 months, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson — as reasons for why she's not interested in dating men.

"That's my time," she said. "I'm not sharing it with a man. I'm not sharing my TV, I'm not sharing my bed!"

Scott, 41, then asked Khloé if there was "any hope" for Tristan, 33, despite their multiple reconciliations and splits in the past.

"No... the door's closed," Khloé said, noting that she saw no reason to be a "monster" to Tristan and that she's happy with them being on friendly terms as they continue to coparent their kids.

In a confessional, Khloé added, "Oh my god, are you kidding me? This is life, we all gotta grow up and move on...  Everyone has been really judgy about how I spend my time because I'm not dating. I stopped dating Tristan when Tatum was in utero. Two and a half years is not that crazy!"

"I do love that it's good for the kids," she continued of living close to her ex and seeing him often. "But now that he's in Cleveland [for the Cavaliers], this is really, really healthy for us 'cause when he was next door, he was always over... he loved the routine and I was like, 'F---.'"

Scott then pointed out how it must be strange for her ex to live so close and witness Khloé moving on, to which she hit back, "If he wanted to torture himself, that's on him! You want to see all these men pulling up to my house? That’s your problem."

Scott was taken aback by Khloé's statement and asked if she was doing that currently. Khloé clarified that it wasn't happening "right now" but would happen "eventually in life."

"You think I'm just gonna be celibate for the rest of my life?" Khloé asked, before noting once more, "I don't want anyone stopping my routine [right now]. I'm comfortable in my rhythm."

In a confessional, she added, "Let's just say I'm dating. I have no idea how you're supposed to date with kids because I'm not bringing you to my home where my kids are, and I'm not going to your home where you're gonna chop me up in your basement and kill me and I'm also not going to a public restaurant or space where people can take pictures and you're gonna be another notch on my belt in the public's eyes. I don't f---ing think so."

Khloé and Tristan began dating on and off in 2016. He cheated on her multiple times, including once just days before their daughter, True, was born and another time with Jordyn Woods in 2019 while he and Khloé were still together.

Years later, they gave their romance another shot. But it was later revealed in December 2021 that Tristan had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols around the same time he and Khloé were secretly expecting their second child via surrogate. Khloé officially ended their relationship months before the birth of their son, Tatum, in August 2022.

She has since emphasized repeatedly, both on episodes of The Kardashians and in interviews, that she has no intention of getting back together.

"These boundaries are so important to put into place with Tristan because we’ve done this song and dance a handful of times already," she said during a June 2023 episode of the Hulu show. "I've gotten back with him after a cheating scandal so I don't know if Tristan is under the impression, ‘Oh wow, OK, let's just ride this out and eventually she’ll get back with me.’"

"I get why he would think that, so it's my job to set boundaries that my actions show otherwise," she continued. "I keep it very short and sweet and make sure he knows it's always about the kids because it's so easy to fall back into [habits]. I can't let those old habits easily come into my life. It's just not what I want."
