Kim Kardashian's Ginormous Birkin Bag Starts at $110K

The reality star was spotted with an oversized version of the Hermès Birkin bag

Kim Kardashian made a big fashion statement this week.

The reality star, 43, was spotted sporting a large accessory — the notable Hermès Birkin bag — with a casual street-style look. The multi-hyphenate’s accessory is currently priced at $110,000, according to Jane Finds.

Kardashian’s latest Birkin — the Haut A Courroies 50cm style — is an oversized version of the highly coveted leather handbag. The SKIMS founder showed off the dark gray crocodile look the past few days. First, she paired the gray accessory with a black zip-up hoodie sweatshirt, matching drawstring joggers, and a long gray and white fur coat.

For the second casual look, the mom of four paired the purse with a light burgundy hoodie sweatshirt and wide-leg sweatpants.

Kardashian’s current handbag measures 50cm total — 19.5cm in length by 10.5 cm in width by 16.5cm in height. The gray purse exceeds the typical size of the Birkin bag, which traditionally comes in 25cm, 30cm, 35cm and 40cm sizes.

The Birkin, named after British actress Jane Birkin, is one of the most expensive bags on the market, with styles going for anywhere between $10,000 to $2 million.

While Kardashian’s current Birkin comes with a $110,000 price tag, the most expensive Hermès Birkin was the Sac Bijou Birkin from the Haute Bijouterie Collection, which was priced at around $2 million, according to Sotheby’s.

The Kardashians star isn’t the only woman in her family to sport the chic bag. In 2019, Kylie Jenner shared a Snapchat of her mother, Kris Jenner’s closet and revealed the matriarch has a Birkin collection that consists of upwards of 20 bags, with styles including red, black, white, blue, plus crocodile embossed finishes and more.

Along with Kris’ extensive collection, the Kylie Cosmetics founder, 26, has followed in her mom's footsteps, having one of the most extravagant handbag collections.

In 2020, she shared multiple photos of her handbag-lined shelves on Instagram, showing off at least 20 Hermès Kelly and Birkin bags.
