EXCLUSIVE: Justin Cooley, a 2023 Tony Award nominee for his Broadway debut performance in the hit musical Kimberly Akimbo, has signed with Stewart Talent for representation.

While attending high school in Overland Park, Kansas, Cooley was named a finalist in the 2021 National High School Jimmy Awards. Shortly after graduation, he was offered the pivotal role of Seth in the Off Broadway Kimberly at the Atlantic Theater Company. He continued in the role when the production moved to Broadway in 2022.

Cooley’s character Seth is a high school student who falls in love with his classmate Kimberly Levaco (played by Tony winner Victoria Clark), a teenager with a rapid-aging condition that leaves her looking like a 60-something woman. A brainy kid with an obsession for anagrams, Seth rearranges his crush’s name spelling to Kimberly Akimbo, giving the musical its title.

Cooley and Clark performed the showstopping number “Anagram” on the 2023 Tony Awards broadcast.

He is managed by Elin Flack Management.
