‘Kingdom’ Actor Jonathan Tucker Helps Save Neighbor & Her Kids From Home Invasion

Jonathan Tucker, who played MMA fighter Alvey Kulina on DirecTV’s Kingdom, found himself in a real-life extreme situation this past Sunday when he observed a man roaming his Hancock Park neighborhood banging on doors and muttering to himself.

After calling police, Tucker went outside and, seeing his neighbor’s front door wide open went in to investigate. There he found a frightened little girl, whom he spirited to safety, before going back into help her mother “terrified, frantic” and an infant, whom he also helped to safety.

When the police arrived, they entered the home and soon located the man. He was reportedly taken into custody and placed on a psychiatric hold.

Contacted by Los Angeles magazine, Tucker was not having any of the “hero” talk.

“If you want a quote, call the LAPD because those guys are the real heroes. They put their lives on the line every day multiple times a day,” Tucker told Los Angeles. “They responded within minutes, while I was still on the phone with a 911 dispatcher. It was an extraordinary response.”

Tucker’s other TV credits include Justified, Hannibal, Parenthood and City on a Hill. On the big screen, he’s been seen in The Ruins, The Virgin Suicides, In the Valley of Elah and the 2003 redo of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
