  • Kourtney said she keeps it, "Just to, like, have each other's"

  • Khloé says the practice is "not for me" and jokes that it's very "Billy Bob Thornton of them," referencing how the actor and then-wife Angelina Jolie famously wore vials of each other's blood

Kourtney Kardashian may bring a little piece of husband Travis Barker — a vial of his blood — to the hospital when she gives birth, she says on the May 30 episode of The Kardashians.

In the episode, Khloé Kardashian visits her then-pregnant sister Kourtney, 45, while she’s on bedrest during her third trimester.

Kourtney, who shares three children — Reign, 9, Penelope, 11, and Mason, 15 — with ex Scott Disick, welcomed son Rocky with Travis on November 1 after a pregnancy marked by multiple health scares and complications, which prompted the bedrest order.

In the episode, Khloé, 39, is helping Kourtney — who says she's finally "COVID-free" — go over what she's bringing to the hospital when she goes into labor, perusing a scrapbook and other items spread out over a table.

"Did you see my blood vial in there?" Kourtney asks Khloé.

"What?" Khloé replies. "No."

"'Cause you didn't keep going."

"Gotta see the blood," Khloé replies, deadpan, getting up to look at the items spread out on the table again.

"It's a real thing of blood?" Khloé asks in disbelief. "What was the point?"

"Just to, like, have each other's," Kourtney replies.

In a confessional, Khloé says, "to want to show off your blood vials is also like, alright, if that's what you're into. But it's very, like, Billy Bob Thornton of them. In my every minute of the day, do I want to be like, harnessing a tube of blood? Not for me."

"But that's what makes the world go round," she continued . "We're all different."

And as Khloé told her sister — albeit with an eye roll — "rock on with your bad self."

This isn’t the first time Kourtney’s shared an affinity for her husband’s blood; in 2021, after Travis, now 48, posted an out-of-context snapshot on his Instagram Story of what appeared to be a tube of blood with his name and birthdate on it, Kourtney then re-posted the photo on her own Instagram Story, simply adding a black heart emoji over top the image.

And as Khloé referenced, they aren't the first celebrities to use blood as public signs of affection; Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thorton famously wore vials of each other’s blood around their neck while they were married from 2000 to 2003 — although the actor said the claim was exaggerated.

“The necklaces were a very simple thing, ‘Hey let’s poke our fingers with a pen and smear a little blood on there and when we’re away from each other we’ll wear the necklace,’ ” he said. “It was that easy. But by the time it came out in the press it sounded like we were wearing a bucket of blood around our necks.”

Machine Gun Kelly also claimed to carry a vial of now-fiancée Megan Fox’s blood around his neck, calling her “my bloody Valentine,” in an Instagram post where he purported to show off the bloody charm.

The twosome also shared that they drank each other’s blood for “ritual purposes only,” as Fox later shared.
