Kourtney Kardashian Barker may be known for her reality show with her sisters, The Kardashians, but her most important role is being a mom to her four kids: Mason, Penelope, Reign and her newborn son.

The Poosh founder welcomed her first three kids with ex Scott Disick and gave birth to her fourth child — her first with husband Travis Barker — in November. A few weeks before their son's arrival, Travis seemingly revealed that their baby boy — who is also his fourth — was going to be named Rocky Thirteen Barker, though they've yet to confirm the newborn's moniker.

The reality star has spoken plenty about her kids since welcoming her first child, Mason, on Dec. 14, 2009, and has elaborated on her process of co-parenting with Disick.

From her thoughts on new motherhood to how her own mother prepared her, here are some of Kourtney Kardashian’s sweetest quotes about being a mom since 2009.

"I think becoming a new mom, you feel judged in general in a lot of ways. I think moms can be judgmental towards other moms really on everything."

"She really has shown me a balance between being a mom and having a relationship - she had such a great relationship with my dad. I think she does it all, and she's really showed me that. And she's also shown me and my sisters how to celebrate life and celebrate holidays, and she takes so much pride, she's instilled that in us."

"Watching your kids grow every day—watching all the little moments. I actually think my favorite part is that you relive your own childhood — going to Disneyland and watching all the movies I watched when I was a kid. I have so many of the books we read when we were little—so reading all the same books again. It’s really fun — you almost get to be a kid again and do all those magical things.”

"I always try my absolute best when I'm with my kids not to be on my phone, to be present in what we're doing, and have those moments where you're looking in each other's eyes and connecting."

"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing."

“Everyone has their boundaries and process, and I think she learned a lot by watching me go through everything first. Everyone has their own experiences, so I didn’t want to sit there and be like, ‘This is what you should do.' I learned from her as well. It’s such a cool process, just figuring it out for ourselves. I think we’re always teaching each other.”

"To me, nudity is not something to be ashamed of. I'm not embarrassed of my body. I'm at my best when I'm pregnant. It's such an amazing feeling, the transformation that your body goes through. There's something about that that's so empowering and beautiful and I just really embrace it."

"I don't want to judge, but I've also met women who think it's cool to be out or away from their baby, and I don't get that, either. When I am out or away, that's when I most want to be with Mason. I do have help when I'm working. It's important to have one person I trust, so I know Mason is taken care of. But every time I am not working, he is with me. Even on an airplane, he is with me even if the nanny is also on the plane."

“This time, unlike the other three, I was followed by a different group of doctors, who gave me many restrictions in the first months. No workouts, no Pilates, no caffeine and no plane trips. Even no sex! I think all this caution made me a little afraid because, in the past, I never had to be so careful.”

“Now I talk to the baby every day, have a positive mindset, keep my head straight, and say a lot of prayers. I feel really lucky and grateful. I have a lot of gratitude. Not that I didn’t have it before, but perhaps since it came easy to me, I took the pregnancy for granted.”
