KSI reacts to new Prime drinks having ‘security protected’ sticker in stores: ‘Never thought I’d see [this]’

With the popularity wellness-oriented energy drinks currently booming, one energy drink brand is currently seeing unprecedented levels of success: Prime Hydration.

In fact, it’s become so successful that some stores have taken to labeling the newest strawberry watermelon flavor with security stickers to prevent unpaying customers from taking it home.

What is Prime Hydration?

Prime Hydration was launched in 2022 off the backs of YouTube personalities and professional athletes Logan Paul and Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji, known professionally as KSI.

The two became famous as rivals in the ring and, according to their website, launched Prime “to showcase what happens when rivals come together as brothers and business partners to fill the void where great taste meets function.”

Since Prime Hydration’s launch in 2022, the company has seen enormous success, including sponsoring the Arsenal soccer team, partnering with the United Fighting Championship (UFC) and sponsoring UFC fighters Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski.

The brand’s accomplishments are almost unheard of for a company that launched only a year ago — and Prime is also expected to become the official sponsor of FC Barcelona, one of the world’s biggest soccer teams.

Along with their unrivaled partnership success, Prime has also been a huge hit with everyday customers.

The many-flavored energy drinks have been flying off the shelves and selling quickly out of stock online since their introduction.

Why does Prime Hydration have security stickers in the U.K.?

Prime’s latest drink flavor, strawberry watermelon, has become so popular that it’s even landed itself its own security label and warning — a move that shocked even Prime co-founder KSI himself.

The strawberry watermelon flavor, which retails for $29.99 for a 12-pack, is currently sold out online. It first debuted in the U.S. and upon finally arriving in the U.K., was met with fan frenzy.

And in some areas in the U.K., it’s even become so hard to find that storeowners have taken to labeling the bottles with security stickers.

“Yeah bro I can’t find it nowhere I’m going to the highest limits,” wrote @hilarioguzman575.

“I’ve been looking for the strawberry watermelon for so long,” agreed @carlos_nunezjr.

What’s the best Prime Hydration flavor?

Fans are mixed in their love of Prime flavors, but the drinks come in the following flavors:

  • Grape

  • Meta-Moon

  • Ice Pop

  • Blue Raspberry

  • Tropical Punch

  • Lemon Lime

  • Orange

  • Lemon

  • Strawberry Lemon

All of Prime’s drinks are labeled as “hydration drinks,” but Prime Energy does contain 200 mg of caffeine, about the same caffeine content as two cups of coffee.

Prime drinks also claim to contain:

  • 10% coconut water

  • Electrolytes

  • No added sugar

  • Only 25 calories

KSI and Paul are currently promoting their drink brand heavily, including through the brand’s TikTok account and in person, such as in Copenhagen, where enthusiastic fans pelted them with their own energy drinks.
