Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky Spend Christmas Together in Aspen After Separation

This summer, PEOPLE confirmed Kyle and Mauricio had separated after 27 years of marriage

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are spending time together this Christmas with their daughters, despite their recent separation.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills former couple was spotted skiing together in Aspen ahead of the holidays, even though they announced their separation earlier this year. Photos of the family show Richards, 54, Umansky, 53, and two of the pair’s daughters hopping on a gondola.

The sighting comes just a few days after Richards and Umansky had solo vacations — Umansky’s in Aspen where he was spotted with 31-year-old influencer Alexandria Wolfe, and Richards’ in Mexico with friend Faye Resnick.

This past summer, PEOPLE confirmed Richards and Umansky were separated after 27 years of marriage. “In regards to the news that came out about us today... Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue," Richards shared on her Instagram. "However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously."

The statement, shared on both Richards and Umansky’s social media, added, "There has been no wrongdoing on anyone's part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative."

The exes have three daughters together, Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. (Richards also has a 35-year-old daughter Farrah Brittany, née Aldjufrie, with first husband Guraish Aldjufrie.)

The year was difficult for Richards for other reasons, including the death of her best friend and public feud with sister Kathy Hilton. In an episode of RHOBH, she explained the hardships all around. "Losing my best friend and then what happened with my sister felt like another loss," she said."What always kept me safe and grounded was my marriage, so not feeling like I had that either all at the same time is a lot."
