Kyle Richards is shedding new light on where she currently stands with Mauricio Umansky — and on her bond with Morgan Wade.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 54, has made headlines in recent months due to her separation from Umansky, her closeness with Wade and the circumstances surrounding her health journey.

Opening up about this current phase of her life, Richards said she is focusing her attention on stuff that "makes me feel good." But she admitted to "still struggling" with navigating certain aspects of her life, particularly where Umansky, 53, is concerned because "it's all new" to her and she's "been married my whole life."

"We still live in the same house and we spent [the holidays] together," she told Us Weekly. "I have no idea how long we'll be like that, but we are trying to be as normal as possible in a very un-normal situation.

Richards continued, "We love each other. We go to therapy. We both want to see each other happy. I don't know what the future looks like. That's the hardest part because the unknown is scary."

Since PEOPLE confirmed in July that the couple of 27 years had separated, speculation has swirled around Richards' bond with the 29-year-old country singer, though she said of gossip about her and Wade: "I don't even think about it anymore. It doesn't faze me," she told the outlet.

The actress's evolution in progress been featured on this season of her Bravo reality series, which has been chronicling her marriage and her complicated relationships with her sisters Kathy Hilton and Kim Richards since 2010.

The Halloween Ends actress was admittedly nervous about navigating through an unexpected marital rough patch for the first time on camera.

"People were upset when they heard [Mauricio and I] were having problems. I felt like we let people down," she admitted. "Some were saying [our marriage] was a farce the whole time. But there were also sweet and supportive messages. I didn't know so many people cared, but they’ve been in my home for 13 years watching us."

As for showcasing her friendship with Wade on the show, Richards acknowledged that, "In the beginning I did [regret bringing her on camera] because even though she's an artist and a musician, she's not someone who wants this attention. I felt bad about that."

Richards has made it no secret that she has endured a challenging year. But making it through all that she has so far has only bolstered her commitment to prioritizing herself and her needs.

"When I feel good and my hair looks good, I feel unbreakable," she told PEOPLE at BravoCon 2023 last month. "And going through … [what] I'm going through now, for me right now, everything is about being strong and feeling strong physically, mentally, spiritually. So I'm doing everything I can in my power to make sure that I am unbreakable."
