Kyra Sedgwick’s Tribeca Film Festival look was close to her heart.

At the Monday, June 10 premiere of her new movie Bad Shabbos, the 58-year-old actress appeared in a black pinstripe suit, lacy white camisole and one very special accessory — a necklace her mother gave her containing a photo of her great-great-grandmother.

“This is an old Dolce & Gabbana suit that I've had forever,” Sedgwick told PEOPLE at the event, preceding the afterparty held at Little Sister Lounge, sponsored by Hendrick's Gin. “This is also an old camisole and this is a beautiful old necklace that my mom gave me. And there's actually a picture of my great-great-grandmother and me and my older brother.”

With her suit jacket buttoned, the necklace looks like a simple gold chain but when chatting with PEOPLE, the actress showed off the bottom of the jewelry piece, where an oval-shaped locket contains photos of her family members inside.
