Lance Frank, Christa Robinson Given Expanded Communications Roles for CBS News, Stations, Media Ventures
Christa Robinson and Lance Frank will take on expanded roles for CBS’ division built around CBS News, local stations and syndicated programming, all put under the aegis of executive Wendy McMahon in August of last year.
Frank, who has been with CBS News since 2011, has been elevated to executive vice president, communications for CBS News & Stations and CBS Media Ventures, a new position. Frank will oversee projects tied to McMahon’s central team, including talent relations and events across the division. He will continue to oversee publicity for “60 Minutes,” and add “48 Hours” to his portfolio. Frank will report to Chris Ender, executive vice president of communications for CBS, along with McMahon.

Robinson, an industry veteran who has led communications for CNN Worldwide and Tribune Media, will continue as executive vice president, leading CBS News and Stations with an expanded role in the stations business. She will have oversight for national and local news across broadcast and streaming. Her team will oversee communications for “CBS Mornings,” “CBS Evening News” and “Face The Nation,” along with digital business and station operations. Robinson will report to Ender, along with Ingrid Ciprián-Matthews, president of CBS News. She has represented four different executive teams at CBS News and is one of the longest-serving news communications executives in the industry.
McMahon’s vision for the division calls for support for cross-platform initiatives that could come in the form of new events and streaming products. She was given sole oversight of the division after the exit of Neeraj Khemlani, who worked alongside her as co-president, in August of 2023.
Leslie Ryan will continue to lead communications for CBS Media Ventures, and will report to Frank. Mike Nelson, a longtime communications executive for CBS Stations, will take on a broader corporate communications role reporting to Frank. Elita Fielder Adjei, who recently joined the company, to lead communications for stations, will report to Robinson.
