Lauren Sánchez Celebrates Son Nikko’s Graduation with Fiancé Jeff Bezos and Ex Tony Gonzalez

“I’m super excited to see this next chapter in your life is going to be," the proud mother told her eldest child in a clip she shared on Instagram

Lauren Sánchez is celebrating her son’s college graduation!

The news anchor’s celebration was a family affair. Sánchez, fiancé Jeff Bezos, her ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzalez and his wife October “Tobie” Gonzalez all celebrated Nikko’s college graduation.

The proud mom, 54, shared an Instagram video, which included a montage of photos of the family celebrating Nikko’s accomplishment and a clip of her sweet speech to her son.

“I’m super excited to see this next chapter in your life is going to be. I know it’s going to be amazing. I am so proud of you. You have no idea how proud I am,” she tearfully told Nikko, 23.

She also included family portraits, with Nikko dressed in his cap and gown. Some photos included just Sánchez and Nikko, while another included the two with Nikko’s father, Tony. Another sweet image included Sánchez, Bezos, 60, Tony, 48, and October, 43.

Sánchez and Tony welcomed Nikko together when they were dating in 2001. After the former couple separated, Tony met his future wife, October, and the two married in 2007.

She wrote in the Instagram caption: “Nikko I am so proud of you! Congratulations class of 2024 ⭐️. I couldn’t help but get emotional. We love you!”

Nikko’s stepmother also shared a celebratory Instagram post.

October's post included behind-the-scenes clips of the family’s professional photoshoot. She also provided a peek at the family’s ongoing festivities following the graduate’s milestone!

“What a time we had celebrating Nikko’s Graduation! We are so very proud of all you have accomplished and the person you are Nikko. You are so loved by so many! 🎉,” read October’s Instagram caption.

Sánchez is also mother to Evan Whitesell, 17, and Ella Whitesell, 16, whom she shares with Patrick Whitesell. The pair married in 2005 and finalized their divorce in late 2019, in which they reached an agreement that included joint physical custody of their children.

As the former couple finalized their divorce, she and Bezos went public with their relationship after Bezos announced his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie. The new couple eventually got engaged in May 2023.

Sanchez and Bezos have not yet announced a wedding date.
