Lawrence Inglee Joins SpectreVision As Partner & President Of Production
EXCLUSIVE: SpectreVision, the award-winning production company founded by Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah, has brought on Lawrence Inglee as Partner and President of Production, Deadline can exclusively reveal.
A veteran producer with 25 years of industry experience, Inglee will work alongside Wood and Noah in overseeing all aspects of the company’s business as SpectreVision rapidly expands across multiple avenues. He comes to the company after producing such notable films as the Academy Award-, Golden Globe and Spirit Award-nominated The Messenger starring Woody Harrelson; the Daniels’ debut feature, Sundance Best Director Winner Swiss Army Man; and HBO’s Emmy, Golden Globe and Spirit Award-nominated The Tale, starring Laura Dern. Previously, he served as Co-President of The Mark Gordon Company, where he shepherded international blockbusters including The Day After Tomorrow and Source Code, having begun his career at Imagine Entertainment.

Celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year, SpectreVision will continue to stay true to its roots and focus on elevated filmmaker-driven projects with unique visions, but will now be applying that ethos to a broader spectrum of genres and budgets. In addition to servicing a robust film and television slate, the company recently launched Mutant, a new art and collectibles venture, partnering with former co-founders of the beloved pop culture collectibles company Mondo. Prior to that, they announced High Strangeness, a “pop-up” publishing imprint in collaboration with award-winning comic book publisher, Oni Press, which debuts in 2025.
Amid this period of growth for the company, and in support of varied business ventures, SpectreVision has taken on substantial new backing from writer-producer and Talon Entertainment Finance CEO Steven Demmler (Oh, Canada) and entrepreneur Michael Risley (The Last Repair Shop). SpectreVision and Demmler, who were introduced through CAA, both recently came on as founding partners of Mutant, which led the way to a deeper partnership. Demmler and Risley are also joining the company as strategic advisors and members of the board of directors.
Risley called SpectreVision “the closest thing to a modern Group Theatre, where all the partners wear different hats as needed” — “the kind of creative family you only dream of.”
Added Demmler, “Partnering with Elijah, Daniel and Lawrence is a dream come true and the natural progression of my desire to empower creatives to realize their visions in an economically sustainable manner. The SpectreVision team has, for years, demonstrated incredible taste, persistence, and commitment to the creative vision of all their projects. I am thrilled to play a role alongside them as they continue to expand and create.”
Founded in 2010, SpectreVision is known for producing such boundary-pushing, festival-favorite genre films as Mandy, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and The Greasy Strangler, among others. Most recently wrapping production on Rabbit Trap, a horror film starring Dev Patel, the company is currently developing a drama series reboot of the sci-fi satire Max Headroom for AMC Networks. Also active in the gaming space, the company’s credits there include the psychological thriller adventure VR game Transference for Ubisoft, which garnered nominations at the D.I.C.E. and Golden Joystick Awards.
