Lee Heung Kam, "I am healthy!"

9 Mar – Disappointed with recent reports of her alleged dementia, 81-year-old veteran actress Lee Heung Kam has decided to appear in public and show how good her health has been.

According to Groove Asia website, on the afternoon of 6 March, while sitting inside TVB executive Virginia Lok's car, Lee rolled down the windows to speak to the media and stated, "The media kept saying that I have bad memory. But I remember everything!"

Virginia Lok also supported her statement, and stressed that Lee can speak loudly and is in good spirits.

Both women then departed to Mongkok in order to meet Ho Lai Cheun, Tam Ping Man and other good friends at the hotel. After getting out of the van, Virginia assured reporters of the actress' health, and stated, "Kam jeh is very healthy. It really bothers her when people say she's sick."

The veteran star also revealed that she frequently goes to the Mongkok Hotel to have tea.

Asked if she still plans to work, Lee stated, "I will never retire. But I will only work if I can stay in Hong Kong and have no overnight filming. I still make guest appearances in TV series too."

Earlier, it was reported that the actress has been unable to walk freely and have to be pushed on a wheelchair due to her weak legs. The tabloids also reported that Lee developed dementia and has been relying on therapy.
