Lee Ha-neul took to Twitter about his retirement

23 Nov – It was revealed that after publicly announcing his withdrawal from the entertainment industry yesterday, DJ DOC's Lee Ha-neul expressed his true feelings through Twitter.

According to in2kpop website, on 19 November, Lee tweeted, "I haven't been able to eat or sleep the past few days. This is hell! It seems that I, as immature as I am, have gotten old and weak. I get bitten once and suddenly they start biting from every direction."

He then addressed his former DJ DOC group mate, Park Jung-hwan, who felt that both Lee and another member, Kim Chang-ryul had mocked him on national television.

Lee stated, "It's true that things were never good between us, but is that the fault of just one person?? We were both so young back then! Please think of it like that. I said I was going to quit, and Chul-hyung, after much deliberation, decided to give you a solo album. Why are you thinking that I cut you from the group when this matter had all been settled?? Let's resolve the misunderstanding. Whatever happened, is now water under the bridge!"

On 17 November, DJ DOC member Lee Ha-neul, who currently faces a lawsuit from former DJ DOC member Park Jung-hwan for slander, had announced his temporary break from the entertainment industry.

A press conference took place at the Hongik University Rolling Hall in Seoul, in which Lee made a public appearance to sincerely apologise to Park Jung-hwan.

Lee publicly apologised after realising that his first apology had not come across the way he had intended. Ha-neul stated that he will be pulling out of the entertainment industry to show how truly sincere he was.
