In the latest Legend of Zelda game, players won’t be controlling Link but rather, they’ll play as Princess Zelda. Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, slated to launch for Switch in September.

A brand new storyline in the franchise, the citizens of Hyrule are being swept away in “strange rifts” and Zelda must join forces with a fairy named Tri to investigate the matter.

Using the Tri Rod, the two are able to create “echoes” – imitations of things found in their environment – to help beat challenges and solve puzzles, such as throwing a rock at an enemy in combat or raising the water to reach a high surface. The game even allows players to create echoes of monsters, which can fight alongside them in battles.

The game appears similar to Pokémon, in which Zelda herself isn’t fighting but rather using echoes to have monsters fight on her behalf. It also features a more experimental visual style, simpler than some of the franchise’s more major releases but colorful and detailed nonetheless.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches for Nintendo Switch on September 26.
