Lily Allen has no shame in getting real about an embarrassing bathroom emergency.

On the May 27 episode of her BBC podcast Miss Me? with co-host Miquita Oliver, the 39-year-old British pop star opened up about a time she desperately needed to use the restroom while performing a concert and left the stage to do so — before sharing details with the audience.

"I’ve had diarrhea once when I was on stage. That was a bit of a disaster," said Allen, who recalled the show taking place at a "quite big" venue in Canada.

"I remember I’d sort’ve managed to hold it in, or I’d not eaten, you know, because I knew my tummy was dodgy, so I hadn’t eaten that afternoon," explained the "Smile" singer. "But during the show, I’d obviously been drinking, so when I had to come off for the encore, I was desperate to go to the toilet."

Allen then left the stage, "ran up to the stairs to the toilet, sat on the toilet, the heavens opened, shall we say," she added. "I just remember sitting on the toilet and thinking, 'Oh my God. This isn’t stopping,' and then suddenly hearing [the crowd chant], 'Lily! Lily! Lily! Lily! Lily!'"

The audience's roars were "getting louder and louder and louder," said the Grammy-nominated musician, "and this diarrhea [is] just not stopping. It just would not stop."

"Eventually it did, and the 'Lily! Lily! Lily!' had sort of died down, and I started panicking, thinking, 'Oh my God. People are going to be leaving. They're thinking I’m not coming out for the encore,'" continued Allen, "and then I came out, and I was just straight with everyone. I said, 'I'm really sorry. I've got diarrhea.'"

"They thought it was hilarious," quipped the "Hard Out Here" performer, who's married to actor David Harbour and has two kids — Ethel Mary, 12, and Marnie Rose, 11 — with ex-husband Sam Cooper.

Earlier this month, Allen performed her hit "Smile" with Olivia Rodrigo at the 21-year-old Grammy winner's Guts World Tour stop at London's O2 Arena, nearly two years after they last performed together at Glastonbury in 2022.

"The best day of my whole career was when I got to sing with her a few years ago at Glastonbury," Rodrigo told the crowd before introducing her fellow musician. "I absolutely adore her. Would you please give it up for Ms. Lily Allen!"

In an Instagram post featuring behind-the-scenes photos from the surprise performance, Allen reflected on the moment.

"Been a while since i’ve sang at the O2. what a lovely crowd," she wrote. "what a lovely crew. Thank you @oliviarodrigo x"
