Lily Gladstone has landed her next movie role following her historic Oscar nomination and Golden Globes win.

The Killers of the Flower Moon star, who appeared opposite Leonardo DiCaprio as Osage Nation member Mollie Burkhart, became the first Native American actor to be nominated for an Oscar.

Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, she is set to work with Martin Scorsese once more in her next movie, an adaptation of The Memory Police written by Charlie Kaufman and directed by Reed Morano.

The Memory Police is based on a 1994 science fiction novel by Yōko Ogawa.

The dreamlike story features a novelist on an island under control of the titular police. After an unknown force causes the island's inhabitants to forget their attachment to memories and objects, only the novel's narrator, R, can remember anything about their life.

The plot features R's quest to help the other inhabitants remember their past – and try not to be forgotten themself.

Scorsese will executive produce the project alongside Ogawa.

Gladstone has been nominated for an Oscar in Killers of the Flower Moon, which is now available to watch on Apple TV+ and based on David Grann's 2017 non-fiction book.

The film recounts how a Native American community was the victim of a murderous scheme in 1920s Oklahoma.

Before the film was released, Gladstone shared a message of support to Indigenous viewers.

"The most pressing thing I've wanted to say about Killers of the Flower Moon, especially to Native Women & Youth: See it when and only if you feel ready, and see it with people you feel safe with," she began a long thread on X — formerly Twitter.

"You'll likely have a lot of generational grief to process. You're not alone."
