Lily Gladstone Has A ‘Saturday Night Live’ Hosting Dream

Lily Gladstone is up for the Best Actress award at the upcoming Oscars. But she has her heart set on a certain television show.

In an interview for People‘s annual Oscars special, Gladstone revealed her hopes of one day hosting Saturday Night Live.

“That’s been probably a dream that I’ve held on my own,” Gladstone said. “It’s like my parents — and I think it’s just what people say when you have an aspiration to act, and they want to encourage you as a kid — it’s like, ‘Oh, you’ll get an Oscar one day.’ So it almost just becomes a platitude. But the thing that I’ve always wanted to do if I’ve had this moment is to host SNL.”

Gladstone is nominated for her work in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live on Sunday, March 10, from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Dozens of oil tankers drop anchor after latest US sanctions bite
At least 65 oil tankers have dropped anchor at multiple locations, including off the coasts of China and Russia, since the United States announced a new sanctions package on Jan. 10, ship tracking data showed on Monday. Five of those tankers were stationary off Chinese ports and a further seven dropped anchor off Singapore, with others halting near Russia in the Baltic Sea and the Far East, according to Reuters' analysis based on MarineTraffic and LSEG ship tracking data. The U.S. Treasury on Friday imposed sanctions on Russian oil producers Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegaz, as well as on 183 vessels that have shipped Russian oil, as it targets the revenues Moscow has used to fund its war with Ukraine.
