In Vanity Fair’s 2024 Hollywood Issue, Gladstone, 37, revealed that she has become “fast friends” with Stone, 35. The two actresses have been up for some of the industry’s biggest accolades this awards season thanks to Gladstone's role in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and Stone's in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things.

During the interview, the first-time Oscar nominee showed off a gold ring that she called her “Infinity Stones ring,” which Stone gifted to her the day before.

“Then she sent me a picture of her wearing the same one,” the actress said. “That’s our thing. We call each other Infinity Stones.” She then quipped that the duo were “talking” and “got big plans” about roping actress Sharon Stone into their clique.

Speaking to the Washington Post about her successful year, Gladstone referred to Emma as her “sister in all this.”

“I’m getting all these sweet texts from her. Or we’re needing to vent about stuff. It’s a very sweet friendship,” Gladstone said of her fellow Oscar nominee.

At the 2024 Golden Globes, Gladstone became the first Native American actor to win at the ceremony, nabbing the title of best actress in a motion picture drama. She began her acceptance speech in the Blackfeet language, an Algonquin language spoken by the Blackfoot or Niitsitapi people.

Returning to English, she said, "I'm so grateful that I can speak even a little bit of my language, which I'm not fluent in, up here because, in this business, Native actors used to speak their lines in English and then the sound mixers would run them backwards to accomplish Native languages on camera."

Gladstone concluded, "This [win] is a historic one. It doesn't belong to just me. I'm holding it right now. I'm holding it with all my beautiful sisters in the film at this table over here and my mother, Tantoo Cardinal, standing on all of your shoulders. Thank you."

One of 2023’s breakout movie stars, Gladstone made more history as the first Native American woman to be nominated for best actress at the Oscars. She’s nominated alongside Stone, Annette Bening, Sandra Hüller and Carey Mulligan for the coveted title.
