Love Island's Tink wants "no involvement" with Montel after Casa Amor snub

Love Island spoilers follow.

Love Island's Tink Reading has given her thoughts on Montel Mckenzie, revealing she believed the pair had a genuine connection in the villa.

Prior to Casa Amor, Montel had been coupled up with Leah Taylor, but opted to pursue his feelings for Tink while Leah was away in the second villa.

However, the semi-professional footballer ultimately decided to stay loyal to Leah, despite sharing a bed with the bombshell. Montel's decision came as a shock to Tink, who revealed details of their "non-PG" encounters to the group.

"I was still shocked as I didn’t expect it from what I thought was the genuine connection I had with Montel, so I was 90% sure I would stay," she said in her exit interview.

"I was flabbergasted because of the time I spent with him and the things he had said to me."

She continued: "Montel told me that in the two days that we had together he knew we had a lot more in common than him and Leah.

"He was very open and instigated a lot, asking me to stay in his bed and pulling me to the terrace."

Going on to reveal how she now felt towards Montel romantically, Tink added: "If you can move mad like that, I don't want any involvement. In the nicest possible way, Leah can have him."

Despite her shock at the recoupling, Tink explained that she does believe Montel is a caring person and that the pair would have made good friends in a different scenario.

"Montel is a caring person and I do believe he did feel bad after he took me to the terrace," she said.

"We probably would have been friends if none of this would have happened because of how much we have in common."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
