Local actor Maxi Lim announced his separation from his wife of close to three years. In an Instagram post uploaded in the early hours on Tuesday (9 Jan), his wife, influencer Lizy Teo, released a joint statement with Lim.

It read, “Me and Maxi are not together for a quite some time now. We have ended on really good terms. Thanks for your support all these while. It will be kept in our hearts! We are both excited for our future even though it ended.

“Please do not feel bad or sad for us! We are not compatible as partners and we truly wish each other all the best and of course not forgetting little Reigny who is loved by so many of you.”

The post was accompanied by a short video of the couple posing with a victory sign before fist bumping each other. Lim, 36, shared on Instagram Story hours later that he is “doing great” and thanked those who reached out to him.

The Ah Boys to Men actor proposed to Teo in February 2020 and registered their marriage a month later. They share a three-year-old son who was born in August 2020.
