Logan Paul suggests his influencer career is over in bizarre post: 'I feel ... the venom of adulthood'

Fans think Logan Paul may be done with the influencer lifestyle after he shared his musings about “the horde of inebriated young Hollywood socialites driven by temptations and bad intentions” on social media.

The YouTuber shared a screenshot of his thoughts about the “Hollywood lifestyle” from his Notes app — a classic celebrity apology medium — to his Instagram Story on March 4.

“I cannot deny the inevitable ending of an era,” he wrote.

Here’s his full statement:

“As I sit, observing the horde of inebriated young Hollywood socialites driven by temptation and bad intentions, I take pleasure in knowing that, while a part of me flourishes in such an environment, my personal aspirations will not often lead me to such crassness. The privilege of youth, the absence of responsibility, the free-spirited nature of song and dance… all fleeting. I feel it. The venom of adulthood slowly sinks its way into my veins, and with it, comes new passions and new habits. I do enjoy it. But I cannot deny the inevitable ending of an era.”

YouTube commentator Def Noodles said Paul’s thoughts could be summarized in three words: People grow up.

Twitter users had a tough time parsing his statement about “the privilege of youth” and the “venom of adulthood.”

“Idk if my brain isn’t working but I can’t read this,” one user wrote.

“Yeah couldn’t do it… read the first line and was already annoyed lol,” another said.

Questions about Paul’s career have been swirling recently.

The influencer announced he was leaving Los Angeles behind last month to move to Puerto Rico. He said it was because taxes are lower there, though, and not because of the “Hollywood socialite” lifestyle.

Hopefully, with his “new passions and new habits,” he’ll still be making time for Pokémon card unboxing videos.
