Loose Women panellist Brenda Edwards has paid tribute to her late son, Jamal, on what would have been his 33rd birthday.

Jamal, the founder of SB.TV, passed away at the age of 31 last year after suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Brenda posted an emotional message on her Instagram yesterday.

"33 years ago today I had the pleasure of becoming your proud mummy," she captioned a reel of memories of her son. "You showered me with a beautiful smile, a big heart, lots of laughs and many wise words."

"I miss you so deeply, I just can't describe, but I know you're watching over me and Nishee like always, just next to Mum and Dad. 💙💙💙Blessed Heavenly Birthday my sweet beautiful baby Jamal. I Love you always and forever 🙏🏾💙🙏🏾. #dancingwithmyeyesclosed" she said.

Upon Jamal’s passing last year, Brenda wrote: "Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD."

Brenda debuted as a panellist as Loose Women in 2019, appearing alongside co-stars such as Frankie Bridge, Katie Piper and Stacey Solomon.

Solomon, who gave birth to her fifth child earlier this year, recently faced criticism from followers after going on holiday with her husband Joe Swash, with some saying the cost of it went against her image of relatability.

"I'll do a little holiday Q&A while I'm on my way to work tomorrow night so feel free to ask away. If me sharing our holiday doesn't make you feel good then unfollow or just mute me or something," wrote Stacey in response to the backlash.

"I love coming on here and sharing things so much and I love our community on here. All I ever want is to take you on the adventure with us and hopefully make you smile along the way," she added.

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
