Lori Loughlin Says She Fell to Her Knees When She Learned of Bob Saget's Death
Loughlin said her husband had to pick her up from the ground and carry her to their car after she learned the terrible news
Lori Loughlin is recalling the sad moment when she learned the news of Bob Saget's death.
The Full House star, 59, shared on the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast with Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber that she had been playing golf with her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, when she saw that she had a lot of missed calls from her sitcom costars.
She answered the phone when the next person called her — and it happened to be Sweetin, 42.
"As I'm looking at my phone, I have like 25 missed phone calls from John [Stamos]. I have like 15 missed phone calls from Dave [Coulier]," she said, adding that Candace Cameron Bure had also called her when she was away from her phone.

"I couldn't imagine what was going on. My phone rang in my hand, and it was Jodie," the former When Calls the Heart star continued.
Sweetin and Loughlin recalled Loughlin asking her former onscreen niece what was wrong, and Sweetin telling her that Saget was "gone."
"I just fell to my knees," Loughlin remembered of her physical reaction to the news. "I just remember Moss trying to pick me up and get me out to the car, to the parking lot."

In January 2022, Saget was found dead at the age of 65 in his hotel room at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Florida. It was later determined that Saget had suffered blunt head trauma following an unwitnessed fall.
"I still can't believe it," the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress continued.
Loughlin also said during the podcast interview that she still visits Saget's gravesite often to put flowers there because it's close to the building of an organization she volunteers with.
While talking about the outpouring of love that Saget received from the public after his death, Loughlin joked that her former onscreen husband, Stamos, would see magazine covers featuring the comedian and say, "Now, how am I going to top that?"
