EastEnders' Karen Taylor to make another return

EastEnders is lining up another return for Karen Taylor, as Lorraine Stanley is reprising the role once more.

The actor departed the soap just before Christmas last year, and already made one return back in February, making a surprise return to Albert Square to enquire about son's Keanu disappearance. In reality, he was murdered by The Six.

With recent twists seeing Keanu's body discovered, Karen is set to return again. Digital Spy understands that it will be a brief stint.

Karen is currently in Spain after doing a runner with Mitch, grandchildren Mia and Mackenzie and Mitch's daughter Bailey, as well as £50,000 of Phil Mitchell's money, opting to take the blame for one of Keanu's plots.

With all that's gone on recently, how will Karen react upon her return?

Lorraine previously spoke about her exit, saying: "I was sad. It was a mix of emotions. It's sad, but it's exciting as now I can go and do what I want. You can get a bit relaxed there and a bit comfortable. So I want to be out of my comfort zone... I hope the door will be left open for Karen."

Meanwhile, the actor was announced for a brand-new project just last week, a feature film called Departures.

As well as Lorraine, the film will also star Hollyoaks' David Tag, Emmerdale star Liam Boyle, and Waterloo Road actor Olly Rhodes, making it quite crossover for fans of multiple soaps.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
