Louis Theroux leaves UFC brawler starstruck in unexpected collision of worlds
Is a new documentary in the works?
UFC heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall met one of his heroes in Louis Theroux at the weekend.
Having just destroyed Marcin Tybura in one round at London's O2 Arena, the 30-year-old headed backstage to celebrate his victory, and in an Instagram clip he's shown shaking hands with the TV documentarian.
"Winning your fight one minute, then meeting one of your idols the next. Who wants to see Aspinall meets Louis next?" Aspinall's caption read.

Also present at their impromptu meeting was The IT Crowd's Chris O'Dowd.
"That was awesome, that was incredible yeah. Well done. Amazing, amazing. How d'ya feel?" asked Theroux after a warm embrace with Aspinall, who laughed: "I'm starstruck, I'm starstruck!"
"That was awesome, coming back from everything you've been through..." replied the TV star, who's interviewed everyone from Joe Exotic to Judi Dench and the Westboro Baptist Church.
Suddenly turning solemn, the mixed martial artist revealed: "Honestly I wasn't sure I was gonna carry on doing this thing this time last year," as he referred to a "career-ending" knee injury which rendered him unable to walk for three months throughout the summer.
Over in the comment section, Aspinall's social media followers were full of love for this most unexpected of UFC fans.

"I feel like Louis could do an awesome insight into the [lives] of UFC fighters and just MMA training as a whole. Has the unique ability to work well in any surrounding. I'd buy the s*** out of that series!" read one of the many messages.
A second person agreed, writing: "Needs to happen. When @officiallouistheroux met Aspinall."
