A recent moment from Love Is Blind involving Gatorade has viewers looking to quench their thirst for answers.

In the third episode of season 6 of the Netflix series, Clay Gravesande appears to have placed a bottle of the beverage in the microwave, and fans were quick to call out the odd gesture.

TikTok user Johnny Q shared the controversial clip Thursday, asking in a voiceover, “Does this guy have a bottle of Gatorade in the microwave, or is it a reflection from the counter?”

He then concludes that it probably is just a reflection of the lemon-lime drink.

One commenter on TikTok agreed with his initial impression, writing, “It really DOES look like it's in the microwave!”

Another comment suggested that Clay might’ve stashed the bottle in the microwave in an attempt to keep it off camera, as cast members are known to imbibe from the show’s signature golden goblets.

A rep for Kinetic Content, which produces Love Is Blind, tells PEOPLE that it wasn't Gatorade inside the microwave and Clay doesn't drink Gatorade.

Fans also debated what was happening in the scene on Reddit.

“Clay is microwaving Gatorade, and looking around as though he is getting away with something,” the original post began. “It is not fair that this sort of behavior is not reported to the young ladies.”

“Maybe he put it in the freezer to bring down the temp, forgot about it, and needed to thaw it out?” someone suggested.

Multiple Reddit users made references to an episode of The Office in which Erin Hannon (Ellie Kemper) becomes a live-in helper to an elderly woman, and after bringing her tea, admits, “I boiled some Gatorade.”

While Clay has yet to weigh in on the kerfuffle, he did speak to PEOPLE about the awkward "bean dip" joke that Jeramey Lutinski made towards his fiancée Amber Desiree "AD" Smith in Punta Cana this season.

"I think I said my reaction ... when he said it initially, I was just like, 'Bro, what are you talking about?'" Clay, 31, recalled. "But me and Jeramey have had weird banter where we kind of talked about that type of stuff. So it didn't really throw me off. I was just surprised that Jeremy said that right there at that time period, but I wasn't surprised that he said it."

"[There's] no bad blood," he added. "I didn't even think about it the next day."
