Love Is Blind host Vanessa Lachey has shared a throwback photo of herself and husband Nick Lachey cuddled up on the first birthday they spent together as a couple.

The two of them share a birthday – although Nick was born seven years earlier – something that Vanessa felt was a sign that they were meant to be together.

Alongside the photo of them enjoying some wine and shots, Vanessa wrote: "November 9, 2006, 18 years ago, we celebrated our first birthday together.

"I will never forget the feeling I had in my heart when you told me we had the same birthday!… You were meant for me! I Love sharing my birthday with You, but more importantly, I Love sharing Life with You! Happy Birthday, My Love! To Us!"

The couple started dating after Vanessa appeared in the music video for Nick's song 'What's Left of Me' (which is about his break-up with Jessica Simpson) and got engaged in 2010. They married a year later in a ceremony on Richard Branson's private island, which was filmed and shown on TV.

Earlier this year, the couple fronted the Love Is Blind season 4 live reunion, which was blighted with technical issues and started a lot later than planned. It was so bad that Netflix decided to go with a pre-recorded season 5 reunion.

Addressing the whole kerfuffle of a reunion, Nick appeared on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen and agreed with the host that doing the reunion live was a bad idea.

"I appreciate what you said after the fact because I think very few people understand like you do what all goes into that and what’s involved," Nick said.

"A reunion, there’s so many things you want to flush out, so many things you want to get to and to try to do that in a timetable that’s finite is not the way to go."

Love Is Blind can be streamed on Netflix.
