Love Island confirms surprise musical guest appearance

The Love Island contestants are in for a major treat tonight (June 30), as Grammy-winning artist Ne-Yo is set to enter the villa for a surprise performance.

The Islanders will receive a text message hinting that an "international superstar" will be putting on a show for them, before they're greeted by none other than Ne-Yo later that night.

Ne-Yo will perform some of his biggest hits, including 'Because of You' and 'Miss Independent'.

When Ne-Yo's performance comes to an end, the Islanders will have another surprise waiting for them. It has been confirmed that Casa Amor is imminent, so it's possible the Ne-Yo party will be cut short to give the couples a shake-up.

Previous seasons of the ITV2 dating show have seen huge names like Craig David, Mabel, Becky Hill, Sean Paul and Joel Corry stop by the villa to entertain the Islanders.

But with three Grammy Award wins and multiple number one singles under his belt, it looks like Ne-Yo is the biggest name to have graced the villa yet.

"I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best," he wrote on his Instagram Stories.

"I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin [in] any way possible."

Ekin-Su has yet to comment on the split herself.
