Love Island host Maya Jama is teaming up with comedian Jack Whitehall and former rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio for a new celebrity-led travel series titled Live Italian.

The three-part series, which premieres on Prime Video next month, will see the trio document their respective journeys across Italy, where they will take the time to discover "what it truly means to live like an Italian".

In each episode, one of the celebrities will be paired up with an Italian expert who will introduce them to "the very best food, music and sport" Italy has to offer.

In the first episode, Whitehall will go on a culinary tour in Tuscany with Italian TV presenter and blogger Chiara Maci.

The Bad Education star will learn how to make gelato from the finest gelato maker in the world, as well as pasta from a "gaggle of naughty nonnas".

Jama will be paired with Italian singer, actress and presenter Lodovica Comello in episode two, where they'll investigate the role music plays in Italian culture through the streets of Milan and Cremona.

The third and final episode will see Dallaglio team up with former Italian rugby player Martin Castrogiovanni, and they'll go head-to-head in some traditional Italian sporting challenges.

"Whilst I like to think that I'm always pretty easy-going, as someone that doesn't like to sit still, the reality is life's a bit chaotic," Whitehall said in a statement.

"So, who better to learn how to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures than those famed for their love of long lunches, indulgent simple dishes and riposo's? Live Italian was an inspiring and, at times, 'interesting' adventure, where I learnt how to disconnect and find pleasure in the smallest of things."

Live Italian will be available to stream on Prime Video from Friday, March 10.
