“6 years without my best friend... I miss you every single day my angel,” she wrote in the caption, with the video showing her and Andrew sharing memories together (via OK! Magazine).

Maura has spoken candidly about Andrew ever since his passing in 2017, but admitted she felt partly responsible for his death after turning down an invite for dinner before the tragic accident.

“For so long, I used to think that if I had gone for dinner with him that day, when he had asked, he wouldn't have been on that motorbike,” she said. “I just kicked myself for so long and got worked up about it. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with.

Maura competed on the fifth series of the ITV2 show in 2019, eventually finishing in fourth place after coupling up with Curtis Pritchard. Since leaving the villa, Maura has dated co-star Chris Taylor and Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice.

The current series of Love Island is nearing its conclusion, with the mischief during Casa Amor being aired at the eagerly anticipated Movie Night in tonight's (July 9) episode. Despite being eliminated earlier in the series, Mehdi Edno revealed exclusively to Digital Spy that he would still like a date with Whitney Adebayo on the outside.

“I feel like we owe each other a date on the outside,” he said. “I feel like we'll be more comfortable and we will enjoy more than the ones in the villa, definitely.”

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
